Thanksgiving Day '06
Well Thanksgiving has been over for a week, but I will continue to give thanks for it. We dashed off to KC, baring with the traffic and made it to our warm getaway at my parents. We had a great time of being taken care of by my parents, lots of good food, football and shopping. And when I say good food more than turkey, Jack Stack BBQ as well (see pic). Football, means not only the chiefs won againist the Broncos but the Ed Schmidts won as well. I had one reception, and two completions as quarterback. Luke, hyperextended his leg but he is OK now. Shopping, well It is December 1st and I am about 60% done. It was fun to go with my mom on black friday, and all the different stores in KC. After running errands with Annie today I don't enjoy it as much when she is throwing tantrums in public.
HOPE, hope is essential for Faith. I am finishing up my Beth Moore study of Believing God. It has rocked my world. So the challenge is do you believe in miracles? Do you ask God for the things you really want and BELIEVE? Right now we are praying for a miracle; The Carr family in Denver essentially Luke's cousins and Aunt and Uncle. Anyway Amy is 2 years older than Luke and her sister-in-law was staying with them and went out shopping the Saturday before T-giving and has been missing ever since. Her name is Nonnie, she is in the Air Force, going to be discharged in 3 months so most likely not AWOL, and has a 15 mo. old that Amy was watching while she was out. They have been living a nightmare, it pretty much has been like CSI and those shows. They don't have much on leads, but they interviewed them on Fox for a national story to go out. So, God knows that we need and believe in a miracle in this situation. I hope that Amy and her husband Tony can find Hope in our God.

Princess Annabelle's Party
Princess Annabelle went to a Birthday party last Sunday. Tatum is the birthday girl to Annabelle's right. All the girls had tutus, tiaras and wands, we had a great time!
Things are going well with the Feathers. Luke's lateset challenge to the YL team is: Good is the enemy of Great. I have been thinking lately about what in my life do I view as good enough when Christ calls me to be great, and to run to win the race not just finish it. So in my quite times, I am challenged to connect with God and not just cross it off my list. As a mom to stop, play, enjoy, make the effort to be more patient to be the BEST mom.
Great is the Lord!

Halloween
Our Halloween Festivites started last week for MOPs we went on a hayrack ride, corn maze, and pumkin patch. On Friday when we went to Aggievielle and trick or treated at the shops. Then we watched the K-State homcoming parade. Saturday My girlfriends came up and we went to the Zoo's SPOOKTACULAR. Macy dressed up as a K-State cheerleader, so i decided to have Annie wear her matching outfit. In the picture Annie and Me, Julie and Ethan, Tara, Macy and Kate, Michele and Sophie. We rested on Sunday as God intended, Monday too. Tuesday we dressed up for an afternoon at the library of storytime and more trick or treating. That night we had an all orange meal of mac & cheese, carrots, madarin oranges, and orange jello. YUM!!! We went to about 7 houses in the neighborhood. She loved it she knew what kind of candy she liked by this point, digging through the bowl, she even tried to walk into people's by slipping between their legs. Then we went to the church down the street and went to their carnival thing. It was a great time. I am laughing thinking about how ALL of this will probably only happen as long as I have one kid. I am enjoying the candy, and Annabelle is corupted by the fasination of suckers.

My big brother, my childhood hero
Here I am on halloween with my big brother. We had a great time with family on Erik's day. Thanks for all your love, thoughts, prayers and phone calls this past week. God is so good, I am so grateful that my heart is doing so much better than a year ago.
Sometimes I feel like I am on the edge of losing it. Sometimes I think I want to then God says no Stacy, I don't think so. So everyday I can not afford to NOT spend time with my Father in the Word. The battle is best fought on my knees in prayer. So, I pray about my husband in the battlefield, my daughter and our parenting, these girls that I am walking alongside of, and my heart. Having the right heart in every situation. Instead of losing it i just give it up and know that my father has a plan for me, and it isn't easy but it is GOOD.
Blessings to you my dear friends!!

Such a Big Girl!!!
Annabelle was such a big girl during her 1st hair cut at the age of 15 months. We had a great time at the 10 year reunion. I am so grateful for my life and we I ended up. I am grateful for my friends, and God and how God makes all of my relationships so much better.
This weekend we celebrate Erik's memorial day. We will be eating Thai food and putting together on a memory book. Remembering all the good times with the extended family. And taking the time to reflect on how much we have learned about our God during this experience. I am grateful for such a fun, caring, and genourous older brother, and doting uncle as well.
Blessings!!!

Well, it has been a heavy week for me. Between walking alongside hurting college and high school friends, going to a visitation of a high schooler who lost her brother, and this time last year is when I went home and hung out with Erik and the rest of the family for the last time.
How I need the guidance of my Lord, and each step of the way he has shown me how he has a work that he is doing in me. So, I trust and he provides a loving, caring heart for those around me, the eyes to look back at good times and to be greatful.

Hey All, well I am procrastinating on writing a paper, and anticipating an evening home alone. Yea, there actually was some sarcasam in that one. Luke has Young Life, like most Friday evenings so I will watching the lastest chick flick by myself. I still need to go to the store and pick up a movie and some dinner. At least we dont have any YL on Sat. I am looking forward to sleeping in and eating some donuts, and watching football. What else could a day hold??
I have made it to the gym twice this week and I have gotten up before Annabelle twice too. So that is some good progress for me.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Keep me updated.
Stace.
